Prophet Pat - Super Gremlin Cover (7/10)

Nobody is really doing covers anymore, so I appreciated hearing this. Prophet Pat is also a really good name! I'm not sure where he is from, but I also like his accent. The beat of course is iconic, but I also feel like it take some big shoes to fill when doing a cover to it. Prophet Pat was talking his shit, no doubt. There was no real substance to the song other than him talking his shit, which is okay because it was a cover track. It shows that the man can rap, which is a great way of introduce yourself. I like the flow, it switched up a couple of times showing versatility. His words seemed rushed sometime, I would suggest to slow the flow just a little in order to annunciate each word. I think that really only matters if you are trying to be more conscious of a rapper. These days mumble rappers don't really care and it still bangs, so my suggestion isn't needed. I also feel rappers with accents get a pass on not announicating their lyrics all the way. So I will give you that pass today. Overall a great cover, I look forward into hearing more music from Prophet Pat.
